Wanted to develop a positive mindset? Read it then!

A positive mindset is a way of thinking that focuses on the positive aspects of life, rather than dwelling on the negative. It is a state of mind that allows individuals to approach challenges and obstacles with optimism and hope. People with a positive mindset tend to be happier, more successful, and more resilient in the face of adversity. One of the key benefits of a positive mindset is that it helps individuals to overcome challenges and setbacks. When faced with difficult situations, people with a positive mindset are more likely to see them as opportunities for growth and learning, rather than insurmountable obstacles. They are also more likely to persist in the face of setbacks, knowing that they can overcome them with perseverance and determination. Another benefit of a positive mindset is that it can improve physical and mental health. Research has shown that people with a positive outlook on life are less likely to suffer from depression, anxiety, and other mental healt...

Success does not require a super-intellect- This is the secret!

I've recently finished reading the book- "The Magic of Thinking Big" by David Schwartz Ph.D. It is a self-help book, which was first published in 1959. The book focuses on the concept that success is determined not only by talent or ability but also by the way one thinks.   The author argues that our beliefs and attitudes play a significant role in determining our success or failure. He suggests that by thinking positively, setting high goals, and taking action, we can achieve more significant success in our personal and professional lives. The book offers practical advice and strategies for achieving success by adopting a positive and optimistic mindset.   The central message of the book is that our thoughts and beliefs shape our lives, and by changing our thoughts, we can change our lives. Schwartz offers various techniques and strategies to help readers develop a positive mindset, including: Believe in yourself: Develop a strong belief in yourself and your abilities. Beauty Of Human Mind!

The human mind is a beautiful thing. Once you start thinking thoughts of lack, hate, failure, and negativity, your mind will be unstoppable in that direction. This practice will persuade you to fail! But the beauty human mind is, if you think of the thoughts of abundance, love, success, and positivity, then your mind will focus on those thoughts only.  So what’s stopping you to think about the thoughts which can help you?  My 2 cents: Always focus on what you want, instead of what you don't want. Examples: 1-If you need a certain amount of money, then focus on getting that money, instead of thinking about the hurdles, or all the factors that stop you from getting that sum amount. 2- If you need your desired job, focus on how you can do better to get that. Instead of focusing on the factors that show you rejections, or negative ideas or thoughts telling, you you are not skilled, you don't deserve.  3- If you want great health, focus on getting better. Instead of thinking I...

Which one is better- Conscious or Subconscious mind?

The conscious mind is part of our mind that is immediately available to our awareness. It is responsible for our thoughts, perceptions, and decision-making processes. The conscious mind operates on a voluntary basis and controls our actions and behaviors. On the other hand, the subconscious mind is part of our mind that is not immediately available to our awareness. It is responsible for storing our memories, experiences, and beliefs that we are not consciously aware of. The subconscious mind operates on an involuntary basis and controls our automatic actions and behaviors. One of the main differences between the conscious and subconscious mind is the level of awareness. We are consciously aware of our thoughts and actions when we are using our conscious mind, but we are not consciously aware of the thoughts and actions that are controlled by our subconscious mind. Another difference is the level of control. We have voluntary control over our thoughts and actions when we are usin...

Experience with Negative Thoughts and how I handle them?

Have we ever paid attention to how we talk to ourselves?  I have recently paid attention to my inner voice and was amazed to experience how our negative thoughts can be our own enemy. These negative thoughts play a major role to give us stress, anxiety, low self-esteem, and depression.  Let me tell you that it is normal and natural,  these negative thoughts are always there, they come and go, and when they become uncontrollable, they give us a feeling that it's the end of the world, and nothing is going to fix our life, situation, or issue. T he only thing we need to make sure of is to change the habit of our thinking, pay attention to our thought processes, and gradually work on changing our thinking habits.   My story, I have also faced these situations, and still, my negative thoughts come and go. Now I have stopped struggling with these thoughts, I observe them and improve myself on daily basis. Today, I am sharing my style to work with these ...

The Courage To Be Disliked- Learnings!

I would like to share my learnings from the book- "The Courage To Be Disliked" written by Japanese authors: Ichiro Kishimi and Fumitake Koga. It is a Japanese analysis of psychologist Alfred Adler, who established that happiness lies in the hands of each human individual and does not depend on past traumas.  It's a story of a sad person, who goes to a scholar for guidance to be happy and is learned that his happiness is in our own hands. The Courage To Be Disliked educates us that we are in charge of our happiness and that past events have no correlation with our future.  Here are my favorites learnings from the book: A) It’s obsolete to believe that your past determines your future. Many times, we dwell on the past and miss the wonderful moments of the present. Always remember that your past can only tame you in...

Are you a victim of negative self-talk? Time to know!

Are you the one who is confused between self-reflection/talk and talking negatively about yourself?   If yes, then it's time to first learn the difference between self-reflection and negative self-talk.  All of us always have discussions going on inside our minds, and somethings we become loud and express our thoughts. These discussions or we can say self-talk can be positive and negative, and impact our mood, and mind differently.  As per the  Research , positive self-talk can increase our confidence, and self-esteem, help us increase our productivity, and keep us in high spirits. Whereas negative self-talk can jeopardize our confidence, hamper our self-esteem, can lead to depression and we start blaming ourselves for every ungrateful thing in our life. Self-Reflection/Talk: Self-Reflection is retrospection, to understand, and acknowledge what can be done to improve, what mistakes need to get corrected in the future, and what could be done, said, or talked about to...

Do you also brush it off if someone gives compliments to you?

This post is based on my recent experience, and I am starting this with questions.  Do you also brush it off if someone gives compliments to you? Do you also not believe if someone says nice things to you?  My whole life, I have always thought that compliments are always welcome by every human being. I always thought, how come someone won't like to hear nice things about themselves? However, a few people's responses from others recently made me think about it. The responses were like- Oh no, I think my luck was on my side or Oh, it's an old dress, or It's my job.  The most interesting one was when I was genuinely giving a compliment to someone who is reducing weight with a disciplined workout and she negated the compliment, possibly sulking away. I'm pretty sure she didn't mean to do it, it just happened.  I dig a little deeper and found from my online research that i n a study conducted in Boston a few years ago, around 70% of people associated feelings of emba...

Next Step After Learning!

Hello, world!    What comes to your mind the moment you hear the word "Learning"? The answers can vary, for everyone it's different, a person can relate it to their daily life experiences, what they learn at school/college, learning at work, or any professional training.  Every individual has unique qualities and that's what makes them special. For me learning is important, I learn daily while at work, interacting with friends/family members, and even while shopping. I recently met with a salesperson at a store, he was new to operating the PoS equipment, and he extended my help since I was getting late. In the whole process of assisting him, I was able to learn about how the PoS machine works, and what all buttons are being used for. Before this day, I was just swiping my card in the card panel of a PoS machine, and now I know how it functions.  I do not want to sound like a question bank to you all. However, what's the next step after you have learned somethi...
