Are you the one who is confused between self-reflection/talk and talking negatively about yourself?
If yes, then it's time to first learn the difference between self-reflection and negative self-talk. All of us always have discussions going on inside our minds, and somethings we become loud and express our thoughts. These discussions or we can say self-talk can be positive and negative, and impact our mood, and mind differently.
As per the Research, positive self-talk can increase our confidence, and self-esteem, help us increase our productivity, and keep us in high spirits. Whereas negative self-talk can jeopardize our confidence, hamper our self-esteem, can lead to depression and we start blaming ourselves for every ungrateful thing in our life.
Self-Reflection/Talk: Self-Reflection is retrospection, to understand, and acknowledge what can be done to improve, what mistakes need to get corrected in the future, and what could be done, said, or talked about to avoid any embarrassing or failed situation. After retrospection, the next step is to create a strategy for improvement, learning from the past and implementing the corrective steps. Self-reflection helps us gain a better understanding of ourselves, our attitude, how we behave and how can we keep ourselves motivated and all about helping ourselves.

Negative Self-Talk can be fatal to our well-being, and mental health and break our confidence. This kind of talk is harmful to our motivation and can make us hopeless in every situation. It's a kind of vicious circle, once we go in there, we keep moving in circles until we reflect on ourselves, our strengths, our qualities, and anything positive in our life. Mindfulness plays a great role to get us out of this sabotaging situation.
In this post, I'm sharing my own way to tackle Negative Self-talk situations and being back in the present moment, moments of happiness and bliss. Here is my way to face the negative-self talk situation and become a winner:
Step 1- Write down all the negative self-talk you say to yourself. Like- Damn, I am fat, Stupid, I am poor, people hate me, I can't win, my vibes are bad, I am unsuccessful, no one loves me, etc., etc.
Step 2- Now think about the person who you love and care about the most, like your parents, siblings, wife, kids, etc.
Step 3- Imagine that your favorite person is saying the same negative self-talk about you for themselves. For example, how would you feel if your kid is saying he/she is bad, stupid, or unlucky?
How do you feel now? Do you like it that your parents, siblings, wife, husband, or kids are saying all those negative things about themselves and feeling super bad about them? I am sure you won't let it happens to your loved ones in any circumstances because you care about them and would do whatever it takes to keep them motivated, happy, and positive.
Step 4 - This is your answer to remove negative self-talk from your life and be unstoppable. If you don't like your loved ones to talk or think negatively about themselves then why would you let this happen to yourself?
Now, next time you see yourself in a negative self-talk situation then try the above-mentioned steps and be a winner. Also, a point to be noted is that being human, Negative Self-talk is common so do conquering them as well.
Bonus Point: Do it for at least 21 days (21 days usually require altering your subconscious mind) and this will change your life for good!
